The S-series answer to every QR that showed up late

S20

The S20 is the S-series 2D imager — a CMOS 2D line that covers QR, DataMatrix, PDF417 and Aztec on top of the full 1D set, so a ticketing, queue or visitor-log site can buy its first 2D gun without leaving the S handle they already know.

A gate pass in one frame.

Campus events and community venues run on tickets that arrive three ways — printed barcode, phone QR and a chunky PDF417 on a lanyard card. A 1D gun covers one of the three. The S20 closes that gap for the whole gate line, for the price of a single wired imager per lane:

  • Reads the phone before the battery dies — brightness-level phone screens decode at counter distance, which removes the "dim the screen" step that turns every queue into a stall.
  • PDF417 lanyard cards work — the stacked 2D symbology that access passes and event wristbands hide data in scans without a second device.
  • Gate-team simplicity — USB HID drops into the entry software with no SDK work for basic usage, and the FAE team helps when the format headers differ from your system's expectations.

S20 FAQs

Yes — screen capture at counter distance is part of its spec; if your venue uses very low-brightness prevention screens, test one sample against the exact device model before committing the gate order.

Yes — the full 1D set (EAN/UPC, Code 39–128, ITF, Codabar, China Post codes) is still on the engine, so a mixed ticket stock runs through one device.

1 pc. A single S20 sample ships in 1–3 days; production batches of under 5,000 pcs ship in 10–25 days with the same 2-year warranty.
