The elevated mount's engine

X10

The X10 is the fixed-high module of the X series — the elevated-mount position for racks and station risers, where the read window hangs above the work and looks down instead of forward.

Rack rail with X10 module mounted above the check table looking down
Application · Warehouse picking

Some stations were designed the elevated way.

Pick-out tables, rack side stations and risers keep the scan window above the work for a reason: the tabletop belongs to the carton, and the module belongs on the rail above it. The X10 is the elevated-mount member of the X family — a fixed engine that looks down the window and keeps the surface below free for the load:

  • Looking down keeps the table up — the elevated window reads the label while the carton sits flat on the table; no more flipping, no second grip.
  • The rail is already there — most elevated stations have their rack rail installed; the X10's bracket geometry was designed around that reality instead of a clean-sheet mount.
  • Full 2D, elevated — QR on the newest carton skins and EAN beneath both decode from the mount's angle; the family engine keeps the elevation transparent to your data.

X10 FAQs

The elevated form is designed for rack rail heights; the practical angle limit depends on label reflectivity, which is exactly what the 48h FAE pilot measures with your carton samples.

Geometry: the X10 mounts from standard vertical rails; the X10W is the angle-adapter variant that tilts the window for sloped or side-mounted positions — same engine family behind both.

The engine is a wired module — imaging is not affected by rack steel the way radio links are; the bracket geometry is the only rack consideration.
