One window, two arrangements

R51

The R51 is the dual-config unit of the presentation scanner line — the hands-free 2D window that mounts into a kiosk slot or stands on a counter, so a single SKU covers both settings a storefront can run.

Unmanned store self-checkout kiosk with R51 dual-config unit reading a customer QR at the slot
Application · Unmanned store counter

The unmanned storefront has two read positions — one SKU should run both.

Instant-store fronts and small warehouses in the kiosk era have a staff counter and an unmanned self-serve slot side by side, and the read gear often gets specified twice. The R51's dual-config unit was put together to answer that pairing: the same hands-free window faces the kiosk slot's restricted pitch or rests on the counter:

  • Kiosk-slot mounting — the window fits the self-serve slot's own geometry and reads the customer's app QR from the slot's printed panel.
  • Open-counter placement — the same unit moves to the staff counter arrangement for the storefront's help corner without being the other SKU.
  • One configuration for both — a single config profile from the free SDK keeps kiosk and counter in lockstep: beep language, prefix, phrase conventions.
  • One SKU for the project — the spec table, the spare drawer and the 2-year warranty are all, in the end, one entry.

R51 FAQs

The arrangements: the same hands-free 2D window is specced for kiosk-slot mounting and counter placement — the storefront runs both positions from one SKU and one configuration, which is the point of the unit.

The window and the read engine are the same; the arrangement is chosen at install from the supplied config — send your kiosk booth drawing and the FAE confirms the slot's sight line in one call.

A wired unit on the booth's own supply, yes — the power draw is a single-USB-count item, and one battery-free window is the honest, predictable choice for a slot no one attends.
