Voice prompts are localized per market; the announce pipeline is a firmware configuration item, not a new SKU. Sample units ship with the default prompt set.

Street retail transactions are confirmation problems: the buyer scans, the vendor needs the amount, and neither is looking at a display. The AS703-based pipeline decodes the code, parses the amount class and pushes a voice prompt back through the speaker — a closed loop that fits on a market stall.
- Confirmed-by-sound — the vendor hears the amount, the buyer hears the pickup; disputes drop when both sides heard it.
- One cable — audio + scan in the same desk footprint; RS232-class host path for registry apps.
